Phnom Penh Bible School emphasizes the importance of personal spiritual growth and development of practical ministry skills in its students. All students participate in small groups at the Bible School. The small groups meet together every week to share and pray together as well as serve together around the school. Small groups also do annual trips to rural churches around Cambodia to serve with local pastors and learn about ministry in rural contexts as well as learn how to work together to serve in the local church. As part of their training, students also need to participate in weekend ministry all four years they study at the Bible School. This allows students to learn under and from local pastors and missionaries who help to train the students in ministry.
