Motivated by a desire to train Cambodians to evangelize and disciple their own people, Joe and Veronica moved to Cambodia in 2012 to help at Phnom Penh Bible School. Because there are many first generation Cambodian Christians who are passionate about the gospel but lack biblical training, the ministry of PPBS to educate young Christians in biblical truth excited the Martins. Joe used his English teaching experience to develop the PPBS English department and advance the academic standards of the programs. Through the work of Joe and the other faculty, the bachelor’s degrees of Phnom Penh Bible School are now accredited through the Asia Theological Association.
